Day 2 of Biman Bangladesh DC 10 S2-ACR Final Scenic Flight 23-02-14
Biman Bangladesh Airlines McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 S2-ACR at Birmingham Airport
An incredible sight - The world's LAST passenger McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 operating one of the nine enthusiast flights out of Birmingham International Airport (BHX/EGBB). Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the operator of S2-ACR, retired the aircraft from commercial service on Wednesday 19th February 2014, marking the end of global DC-10 passenger operations, and on Thursday 20th, it flew from Dhaka to Birmingham via Kuwait on a farewell tour, and has operated nine scenic flights from Birmingham Airport. This video therefore captures the world's last remaining DC-10-30 in passenger operations, landing at Birmingham on the 12pm scenic flight on Sunday 23rd February. Just the day after filming this, S2-ACR will return to Dhaka and be scrapped. Goodbye DC-10!
