**Inaugural** China Southern | Beijing To Birmingham 22/07/14
Today marked aviation history as Birmingham became the first UK airport to operate a flight direct to China outside Heathrow. It arrived 5 minutes early at 06:30am direct from Beijing. It then had a water cannon salute on arrival and taxied to the stand.
